Jeannie booked me as her photographer for her Long Island Wedding in December 2014. That's officially the longest between booking and wedding day so far. Thank you for believing in me and showing a love for my work. With a year and a half of planning, you can imagine Jeannie and Jay's wedding was pretty flawless. Throughout the process, it was clear that photos were a priority- which makes for a dream couple to work with. Jeannie and Jay got ready at Jeannie's aunts Long Island home which made a beautiful spot because of ample natural light. The dress (oh my gosh, perfection- can I get an amen?) fit Jeannie perfectly and there's no doubt it was the perfect choice. We were running late, which is on wedding days a common theme that's prepared for by adding lots of margin time but made for quick portrait time. Quick portrait time means speed portrait time, which I secretly love the challenge of. The flowers!!! Ahhhhhh, can dreamy botanical gardens be a part of every wedding day? One of my favorite parts of the wedding was the ceremony (Jeannie tearfully said her wedding vows, which tends to bring out the sap in my and I might cry, too). The couple's moms wore my wedding attire I loooooove, traditional Korean wedding gowns. Jeannie and Jay, can I give you applause for braving the April Long Island chill and wind (probably was 28 degrees with the wind chill) for sunset portraits. They looked like they are cuddled up romantically, but it was just a means of survival. The party had spurts of getting down on the dance floor and featured my favorite reception music with included but was not limited to 50 cent and Usher. Perfection. And smoke machines, a new favorite.
Congrats you two. Your wedding day is one that I wish I could look forward to all over again.
