2,760 Miles & A New Place to Call Home

A little over a month ago, I moved 2,760 miles from where I used to live in Southern California. June-December of last year, I struggled with the idea of where I belong and what God's will is for my life. I ended up spending 8 days in NYC/Brooklyn in December, which were planned randomly last-minute when I found a cheap plane ticket. After exploring New York for 8 days, I got on a plane and cried. I finally found where I belong. When I got home, I told my parents that I wanted to move to New York. Less than a month later, I did. I came out here with hardly a plan at all and I had no idea what my life here would look like. I had a temporary place to stay (thanks Jorli!) while I figured out a more permanent living situation. Within 2 weeks or so, I found a place to live that is beyond what I ever expected and with the most amazing christian women. Within a month, I've started feeling at home here. This is my home now. Although, I have no family here, my housemates and I have become a little family. Through church, I've made friends that I look forward to seeing multiple times a week. The people that God has placed in my life since I've moved here have made me not doubt for a second that I've made the right decision.

I've found where I belong and I can't wait to see what God has in store for this year.
